What is an Aratika AA ?
Aratika is the name of the ferry that transports travelers between New Zealand’s North and South Islands. Many years ago, I was one of those travelers, and was told that the Maori name of the ferry could be translated as “straightforward”. I fell in love with that name on the spot…
As for the AA, those two letters stand for a number of different words, in a variety of combinations, as needed at any given time.
